Survive Pumpkin Spice Season When You Hate Pumpkin Spice

Right now we are in peak PSL season. I find it hard to believe how popular this flavor has become considering when I asked a variety of friends, they all seemed to dislike it. Might I suggest some alternative options for you? I personally prefer plain old coffee with a splash of non-dairy milk (...of your choice. My favorite is almond.) If I'm feeling fancy I also add sugar. I have also grown fond of ordering tea in lieu of coffee. I don't have a favorite tea, although I have been trying fruit infused teas. What about an apple cinnamon to give you those same warm fuzzy fall feelings? I'd say that's a win!

If you are one of those people who just has to have your pumpkin fix, I really liked this idea to add pumpkin spice seasoning to your ground coffee beans to give a subtle hint of flavor to your coffee. Sure it's an extra step, but I'm willing to guarantee that it is far fewer calories than your local coffee shop! I also feel like grinding your own beans freshly gives a more robust flavor profile. It's definitely required to extend your pinky when sipping. 

I love a good coffee shop for the environment, but there's nothing like enjoying a nice mug in the comfort of your home while being cozy and comfy. I can relax in my Libra sweatshirt and super fuzzy socks and not be judged (with the exception of the side eye from my dog).
